The Spirit Of Christmas

There is much talk about the Christmas Celebrations and what the spirit of Christmas is. I think that we should see the spirit of Christmas as The Spirit descending upon us and we, rendered with all his love and charitable nature, live as He lived. During this Season, we have the spirit of Christmas when we demonstrate Jesus’ loving, giving nature. What this does not mean is drinking and getting drunk and all the other ills associated with excessiveness.

The Spirit Of Christmas

Tinsel adorning the Christmas trees

Helping others work to give them great ease

Enchanting carols sung all day long

Silent Night still being a favorite song

Pecan nuts imported for a special treat

Iced great cakes are traditional to eat

Radio programs and TV shows with themes of Christmas

It’s a big festival of giving in Barbados

The gifts are wrapped with decorative paper

Or boxed with a ribbon cut in a taper

Flowers are bunched in brilliant bouquets

Christmas is celebrated in many vibrant ways

Holy Savior who was born many years ago

Revere as King of Kings by all we know

It’s beautiful the blessings He brought back then

Saved us all from mortal sin

Then tell me why on His birthday

Many celebrate in this irreverent way

Alcohol will steal your mind and destroy your family too

Spirits at Christmas for the Holy Spirit you shouldn’t do
