The Rain There

Remember that old tune that made fun of Grandma and the reindeer? Well, I think that it might have been raining out and with the “Rain There”, accidents are more probable. I like to play on the words and my friend and family grow tired of me always doing it. It never get tired for me so I hope that you will indulge, take a bit at a time and enjoy my playful renditions

The Rain There

They say he travels at the speed of light

Have many packages to deliver on just one night

Eager young children will listen out

Reindeer will stomp roofs all about

And once the rain fell and separately they did leave

I’m told that grandma got run over by rain there Christmas Eve

No one saw it but there was never a flood

The rain never fell that long so it never could

His reindeer that got unleashed must have been the one

Escaping and trampling grandma when we all were gone

Rain on the roof caused Santa’s reindeer to get away

Even grandpa got more careful from that Christmas Day
