The Peoples' Servants

When we close the door and leave the Public Sector Department, we behave like the people there stay in a state of suspended animation until we return next year.

Perhaps they are responsible but that gives us no excuse for treating them as though they exist only for us. The hundreds of thousands who live on the island have free access to the Public Sector and often they are used for convenience

The Peoples’ Servants

People who work tirelessly for the rest of us

Using their skills for the public of Barbados

But forgotten by us at this time of the year

Let us wish them all a very special good cheer

It’s the Season we all treasure the most

Christ the King who came, the Holy Ghost

Set out to show us the way to live

Examples he set at how we must give

Cheer and laughter to our friends and family

The Lord came and died that we

Once repented, our lives the Father will spare

Rejoice ye servants of the people and have a Happy New Year!
