Imagine A Love

Picture this, to have travelled for miles on a donkey while carrying a baby in the womb. Imagine finding a place to rest and giving birth right there amongst barn animals and hay all around. None of the amenities to help with the afterbirth that we have today but still managing to deliver a beautiful, healthy baby boy. In all of this, remaining hopeful and beaming with the smiles of the truth, the baby was the King of Kings and the Savior of the people.

Imagine A Love

I saw a star in the skies so bright

My path was clear beneath its light

And a track led to a disheveled home out there

God told me the home was beyond repair

In it was an emaciated family

Nothing to eat or drink still they cuddled closely

Eyes still beaming and smiles still wide

And though the were ghastly they never thought to hide

Looking again at them I saw deeper within

On love they had survived and were shut away from sin

Very few word they said but I remembered these

Emmanuel is my newborn and in Him we are well pleased
