I Saw Three Ports

I don’t get to drive about the Island any more but the development of our country is no different to what I had known. The ports of entries are still the same and t this time of the year, they are busiest. I look forward to this time when people show their happiest. A friend called me today and she said that she take pleasure in just walking around town this time, to see the merriment on peoples’ faces and the faces that she hadn’t seen in years.

I Saw Three Ports

It was the night before Christmas and all I could see

Some people were flocking to this little country

Airport and Seaport and Port Saint Charles too

Were filled with newcomers the whole night through

Their sacks with gifts were mainly children’s toys

Had them wrapped and tagged for girls and boys

Reindeer didn’t bring these Caribbean Saint Nics

Every one came by traditional traveling picks

Each dressed ready to celebrate

Parties at neighbors and in caroling participate

Our little Island is dressed with thousands of lights

Rings of garland and the peace hush fights

The people are courteous and welcome all here

Ships and airplanes flood our ports at this time of the year.
