Friends Laughed

Christmas have differing meanings and significance for everyone.  If the Animals in Animal Farm were given voices then we would learn that Christmas time is a sad one for the pig and turkey. Some people in life are like the pig and turkey and some, though they don’t meet similar fates, are still agitated by the season. This joyous season brings hard and long hours for retailers who can’t wait till it’s all over.

Friends Laughed

Farm animals speak with each other

Rooster is every ones big brother

In the mornings when all is still asleep

Early I hear cries of cockadoodle doo, beep, beep

Now there is one lazier than all

Digger the pig refuses to hear Rooster’s call

Sleeping late and eating the most

Lazy pig declares his piousness with constant boast

And watches and grunts at the laboring donkey

Ugly faces glared for all the friends to see

Good life sweet but sweet life ‘aint long

Have your fun now the donkey brayed to Digger in song

Eat, drink and be merry it’s the Christmas Season

Donkey hauled him to market the next week for that very reason
