For Beverly

I have this special shout out to one of my sisters in December. I know she is always busy, travelling the world. She still manages to run her businesses as if she was always around and from what I learn, a tight ship at home too. May this poem find her in good health and spirits. A very Happy Birthday to an admirable lady

For Beverly

Fifth of December every year for me

Once I’m able I celebrate happily

Remembering you my December sister from years ago

Beverly you were one of the best people to know

Exercising your rights and your authority

Very sure of yourself and what you wanted to be

Even when situations seem gloomy and severe

Resolutions came easily when you were there

Ladies like you have been hard to find

You my dear have been one of a kind
