Those Graced To Speak

The radio station is sometimes bombarded with calls to the call in program which will go unanswered, I’m sure , but do they have so many emails that they cannot all be read or at least acknowledge. Today is the day for the disable and imagine those graced to speak making the audibly impaired voiceless by not reading their comment or even acknowledging them.

Those Graced To Speak

There are many of us disabled

Haven’t the graces of the bountiful

Our minds still pure and need to express

So much we need to get off our chest

Everyday we listen to others and wait patiently

Got opinions to share but regrettably

Radio is meant more for those who can speck

And invitations to write in is just tongue in cheek

Cause it’s secondary to commentary on the phone

Even when our comments are not for us alone

Disabled lady called about the library ramp and her chair

The difficulty she had trying to get in there

Opened to all but to the physically challenged they fail

She had difficulty getting in like my email

Phone numbers are repeated and the email address too

Email us they say but yet when I do

Answers are not coming and I scarcely hear them read

Kindly let me know what the speechless should do instead
