CHANGE

Creating History At National General Election

Congratulations came from at home and about

Reactions were diverse with tears or a shout

Everyone shared in the joy and the glee

Americans elected Barack Obama to the Presidency

This is your victory he quickly declared

It’s unity, progress and a hope we all shared

None will be exempted, he will encompass all

Got praises for Americans breaking down the partisan wall

His journey brought change and made many a first

It changed the way people think and how they outburst

So cool and collected in an admirable way

Those who observed him always had this to say

Obama is an organizer of extraordinary ability

Revamping the campaigning process with technology

Yes, he integrated a whole niche through the Internet

And change the way all who following will run, I bet

There was his brilliant use of prompters on stage

Now even the old politicians have turned this new page

Aggressively he campaigned in every state

Targeted all America and not on a few concentrate

In his campaign the politics were not as usual

Obama didn’t like the mud slinging, they hold traditional

None of the deliberate confusing distorts

All his answers to opponents were truthful retorts

Ladies and gentlemen, whether young or old

Got treated gently though his manner was bold

Each voter waited eagerly

Numbers grew exponentially

Electing Obama would vindicate

Roads explored by this candidate

And soon one after one they came in

Little doubts after Philadelphia as to who will win

Every face in the McCain camp was growing long

Lamenting on what and where they had gone wrong

Eventually it was sure from the results of Ohio

CNN was reluctant but we knew there was no where to go

There was no turning back, it was all done

It was a historical campaign that he’d run

Obama carved a new Path To The White House, a historic track

Now did I mention this 44th President was also the very 1st Black?
