Because He Is Black

The Blacks in America have withstood all kinds of pressure to achieve the Equal Rights for all and the eligibility to vote. Yet, with all this in place they are still ill treated because of their race. The race discussion still continues but the true test of preparedness comes on November 4, 2008 Elections day. For the first time a major Party has a Black Candidate and from the polls he is believed to be in the lead. We await the actual vote.

Because He Is Black?

Black people all over the country

Experienced social disparity

Couldn’t behave like they were equal

And starved when Whites had their bellies full

Unable to drink from the same water fountain

Seated in the back of buses when racially separating

Eating in the Whites’ restaurants was forbidden

Hosed if they protested the treatment they were given

Every Black was conditioned to believe

It was not possible for them to achieve

So when a Black came along one day

Barack Obama who dared to say

Life has been good and I have the audacity of hope

Americans he believe, will show their ability to cope

Change takes leadership and experience, traits of Barack

Kudos to this great patriot, especially Because He Is Black
