3F - Faith Focus Float

“My son, forget not my laws but let thine heart keep my commandments.” Proverbs 3. is fast becoming a favorite. For years I could remember the verse “ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding”. Although this is substantive, I am very encouraged by these very first lines. They inspire many poems, here is one.

 

3F – Faith Focus Float

Father I know I must remember your laws

And live them without wavering, irresolution or pause

I shall keep your commandments in all that I do

There shall be no questioning you

How I work every day

Faithfully I shall obey

Only if I take my eyes from you

Chaos abounds and I start sinking too

Unable then I’ll be to keep upon your track

So I’ll look to you and never look back

For me there shall be no other

Lord you are my only Savior

Once I keep my faith I know I’ll be

Always protected by you Lord Almighty

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart
