The DNC convention continued today and the speech by Michelle Obama left the people there and here watching from home all teary eyed. The family of Barack Obama is no ordinary family and from no ordinary roots yet they are the kind of family we can easily associate with. This is no typical first family but it surely is a family that we would like to be there in the White House representing us.

My instincts told me long before

I expected the best and got even more

Couldn’t believe the many teary eyes

How many loved you and their adoring outcries

Everyone accepted your story and became part of it

Lived through your presentation and became your conduit

Lots of us who heard are inspired to conceive

Everything is possible, now Yes We Can Believe
