3R - Religion

I could throw a javelin farther than I would ever have imagined but when I realized it, I was too old for the school competitions. I still regret that I didn’t start earlier. The one person who encouraged my athleticism came into my life during the last years of school. Ellis was a shot putter who was good at discus, javelin, academics, waltzing and ran fast too.  We are all given talents but not all of us get to realize them

3R – Religion

Remember thy creator when you are yet young

Every talent you now have may not last long

Let His gifts grow as you grow too

It is remarkable the things you can come to do

Gifts from God are sometimes lost

If as you grow they are unwittingly tossed

Out the good goes with the bad

Not all youngsters realize the opportunities they had
