With My Own Two Eyes

I once told a friend that trust was about being able to accept that if I say the Moon was blue, that it was. Of course my friend couldn’t accept this and for me it was a lack of trust.  Although I still believe this, I have come to realize that people try harder to deceive each other than to understand. With this said, what you see with your own eyes you should believe and when a person says who and what they are believe them

With My Own Two Eyes

When your focus is so obscured

It’s hard to see beyond their every word

The guidance they give you  follow blindly

Having no value on what your own eyes see

Maybe they tell you the moon is blue

You see it’s mist and the silver hue

Only you are doubtful and dare not disagree

When they say it’s different, you doubt what you see

No one is as blind as he who will choose

To doubt the gifts God gave him to use

When you open your eyes its miraculous

Optic message transmitted on a membrane that’s fibrous

Every blink you think and your every thought

You discern the graces of what you ought

Each time I see a thing of discerning guise

Seeing is believing when I see With My Own Two Eyes
