I am Bajan

I wish to acknowledge the greatness of the Caribbean athletes and especially the Jamaicans for their triumphant showing in the 100m races. Usain Bolt is now the Lightning Bolt that scorched the trail before his other contenders and the dynamic trio of ladies swept the medal showing.

 

I Am Bajan

I saw them race

At a blistering pace

Man last night

Bolt to people’s delight

And now the three of these

Jamaican speedster ladies

Are 1, 2, 3 and the record is Jamaican

Nation pride aside, I am West Indian
