3R -Reflection

What really is our culture? Does it have anything to do with the way we celebrate? Why whenever there is a festival we are “wukkin up” parading and exposing our bodies with no modesty? I feel uncultured

 

3R Reflection

Rolling your waist and jumping

Every joint and muscle pumping

Festivals we consider to be culture

Like “wukkin up” in the streets for Crop Over

Emancipation now becoming a big part of it

Crop Over being celebrated with this can’t be appropriate

There is a big distinction between the two

I can’t appreciate the fullness of either one, can you

Our authorities have us thinking it’s time to gyrate

Nationhood is “wukkin up” that’s how we celebrate
