Smothering

I had a dog that ever time she was around me I felt to call her and hug her. She was the sweetest thing when she was a puppy. I took her for regular sea baths and walks and when she got older she told me no more of that. When I called her she would come respectfully but leave shortly afterward. She loved me but didn’t like being smothered. I thank her

Smothering

Sometimes we can like a person too much

Missing the sight of them and being in touch

Only a moment apart and we want them back near

The thought of them gone brings you incredible fear

Holding their hands when they are with you

Every time hugging them and saying your love is true

Risking no chance to lose them you’re by their side

In grocery places, department stores, they can never hide

None of what you are doing is love that is caring

Give them some distance, your love is smothering
