Ladies Gymnastics
One could have
predicted the out, given the first rounds of the competition. The Chinese were
more prepared for this grueling competition, although you could tell this from
their physiques. Their frail bodies hardly look the qualifying age and although
I thought the American, Shawn Johnson had herself looked under 16, I thought
she had a body that was superbly crafted, but I feel a bias, I always had a
soft eye for her name

Ladies Gymnastics Lifted to the uneven bars And flying high becoming stars Dancing technical routines on the floor Incredible balance beam skills leaving us wanting more Each Olympics leaves me in similar disbelief So much enjoyment yet so much grief Gymnasts demonstrating envious admiration Young ladies representing healthy competition Many would like to win but see the skill Nations from afar produce and will Applaud the efforts of their enemy Showing the wisdom of great maturity Though the countries fight for reasons unsure In the Olympics they fight for a whole lot more Competitors for the rights to receive a medal of gold Share glory with each other, baring mind, body and soul |
