No One Asked Me

He wasn’t asked and because of his jealousy he didn’t take too well to his mother getting married to the stranger and later to her becoming pregnant. It seemed like they were taking his life away and because of there feelings of rage he now had, he lie against his step dad who was imprisoned falsely for over ten years before the judicial mistake was countered. Fortunately this was not as traumatic.

No One Asked Me

Not a question about a new baby

Once there was two then there was three

On that day my dad left the house

No one said mom would no longer be his spouse

Every time there was a big change in my family

All was decided but no one asked me

So many times my parents left me out

Kept making quiet decisions that created my doubt

Expecting a new brother was not about me

Divorce was between dad and mom only

Me going to the boarding school was never a debate

Excluding me from decisions I’ll never appreciate
