Irene Good Night

I waited for today then I did not

Remember to shout you and Barack, I forgot

Each of you good people were born on this day

Nothing should have misguided me or get in the way

Except I spent this hot day posting for yesterday

Got so many posting I wrote on Sunday

Over my weekend I stay away from the computer

Only scribbling inspirations down on paper

Do know though that you’ve been on my mind

Now and always I hope you will find

In your days delight and in your nights too

God’s blessings I hope will always follow you

Have a good night and though late I’ll pray
