Dignified In Adversity

Face the trauma and adversity in your life with dignity knowing that all is well with your soul. Even when your body is feeling weak, once you can smile, you still have a beautiful give to give. A smile means wonders to many and can encourage and give comfort

Dignified In Adversity

Do you hear me Lord when I speak

I’m sitting here feeling weak

Got no where to go and no where to be

Nothing to do and nothing to see

I’ve been diagnosed and the doctors say

Feelings sometimes may go away

It is certain though that they will return

Expected more severe and I must learn

Don’t be overjoyed or devastated

Intense, stressed or anticipated

No two people react the same

And people only know the condition by name

Dear Lord you promised and you relieve my pain

Very seldom do I grimace and I smile again

Even when this condition is worse, I try my best

Ready to fight though I’m feeling stressed

Some days I forget about my disability

I sit and smile and type away my faculty

Though I sit here weak Lord I feel no dismay

You have given me a smile and I thank you for it today
