Have A Heart He Whispered To Him

Have A Heart He Whispered To Him

Her turn was next, she was at the top

After 14 months their hopes never stop

Very long they had waited and many times denied

Everything was looking like she would have died

And then a call came, her dad answered the page

He broke traffic lights and incurred a policeman’s rage

Emergency he shouted, my girl is getting a new heart

And the police escorted them so the surgery can start

Ready in glee screaming through the corridor

They were met by the hospital chief on the surgery floor

He said it was a mistake they shouldn’t have been called

Error was made by the computer and her father bawled

With one whisk he took a policeman’s gun

His girl must get the heart, she was the next one

It brought the SRU police to disable Jack

Strategic Response Unit didn’t want to attack

Phoebe was next but she was too far away

Emergency consideration was for the more viable man today

Regardless to the fact that they had discharged her

Even when she was critically waiting for a donor

Deceitfulness by the police got Jack to give in

The heart was damaged in transit so he wouldn’t win

Once he heard this he cried and slumped off to Phoebe

He fought to the end for her but he thought futilely

In surgery the old recipient wanted to play a part

My good doctor he whispered, this time let her have a heart
