Passing Through

Barbadians have been blessed to have the Lord watching over them all this time. But how many non-believers deliberately try to explain things with words like lucky, fortunate and instinct. Unless we give praise to the Lord then we may expect His wrath.

Passing Through

People got ready for her to pass

All threatening and disruptive though still a lass

She was only recently born but like others before

Started her quest to destroy and more

It was a quiet day for me

No gushes to disturb my tranquility

Got a cooler day today and who would’ve thought

That Barbados was not one she sought

How come she came and left us whole

Rained on Bermuda with a monstrous toll

Ought to believe by now in His divine grace

Unusual that we’d be spare, this little place

God knows why throughout our history

He protected us from others and now Bertha‘s tyranny.
