Interrogation Files

Why are we fighting? I just saw a movie that brought tears to my eyes. In war, a civilian had her breast cut off to prevent her from nursing her baby. What cruel things man can inflict on man! I saw the effort people go to save each other and the bonds that are created between two men. But if adversity can bring such bonds can it not also men the broken ones between countries before the lost of valuable lives.

Interrogation Files

It’s not just the youngster left in jail

Nor the millionaire who can comfortably pay bail

This isn’t about that young boy throwing that grenade

Enemies too need rights to come to their aid

Regardless to the horrible things they do

Right is right and we can’t be wrong too

Or methods of extracting information must be

Geneva Standards and especially

Always accounting for the enemy’s age

These measures can’t be same for the adult and teenage

Interrogation has become an immorality

Our people are white boarding the enemy

No regard for sex, age or that other human being

Fighting is bringing out the monsters within

In all these battles what is the winners’ result

Losers captured  but we don’t our morals consult

Enemies treated inhumanely but they are humans too

So remember in battle we fight people like me and you
