There are many things that build personality

Experiences that mold our individuality

Negatives and positives balancing our cast

Designing the characters that we hope will last

Every moment in time holds a memory

Rights and wrongs preserved for eternity

Moments we lived though sometimes we wish

Our memories would be fleeting like that of a goldfish

My childhood and later adult life too

Evolved around the stubborn things I opt to do

No change today, I’m very much the same

The friends I have say stubborn is my name

So locked in one way and very inflexible

Risking to adhere to the way of the Bible

Every memory is there because I chose to live

Very much like His doctrines and hope to give

Life has not always been a simple path

Easy to confess my positions and hear others laugh

Didn’t come without tears or heartaches too

Nights were stressful and my soul felt blue

Only God’s graces saw me through each day

When my moments got too much I turned to pray
