Today They're Saying I Do
The others at home
are going to a wedding today. I was invited but I’m still experiencing great
discomfort wearing sleeves and long pants.
As much as some people would say we don’t worry about how you are
dressed we want you there, I say if it is my heart and spirit you can know that
they are there. I wish as part of sharing the moment, someone was able to read
my special words to the bride and groom

Today They’re Saying I Do Today before family and friends On this day we wish the celebration never ends Dearest couple we join with you As you say in the presence of God I do You will start on a passage up ahead Together now that you are by God wed Having all the problems of your day Erased at night as you kneel in pray You have by marrying in God’s sight Revered His values to do what’s right Exalt His word and publicly shown Society must know that you’ve found the one And together you’ll strive for the perfect life Your thoughts shared now you’re husband and wife In touch with each other down deep in the heart Never leaving troubled when in days you part Giving your all and believing all each other will say Integrity and honesty your utmost goal each day Don’t forget us your friends and family Our love goes with you on this day when you marry |
