The Kaiso

Well, many try to compare our Kaiso with all kinds of good taste and feelings. I find it sweeter than any food I’ve eaten or tasted. And watching the people enjoy Kaiso, when they are not getting vulgar, is a thrill that I can’t explain. This is a music that is truly Caribbean, truly Bajan.

 

The Kaiso

They say the we Kaiso is like magic

Have lyrics perplexing like those like Classic

Entertainers go out their way to deliver

Kensington Oval will be revived sooner than later

All the best will converge at Kensington

In the Island’s Pic-o-de-Crop competition

So listen as they appear on Fire Works and settle your grouse

Our Kaiso is sweeter than any Pudding and Souse
