The May Flower

If I were to write all the things and experiences about this friend which appeals to me, I would be writing for days, months, even years.

To avoid emphasizing any one thing and seeming to give it an unfair significance, I’ve decided to be vague. But one thing is for sure, just as the Mayflower brought such significance to the building of America, she brought similar significance into my life, transforming my understanding of friendship. I am truly blessed to have her as a friend.

The May Flower

There was a ship back in the day

History tells us landed at Plymouth Bay

English Separatists braved the dark seas

Miraculously landing safely though fearing disease

America called them the first pioneers

Yeomen Pilgrims back in these early years

For me  there’s a May Flower with another significance

Lady who born this month of great importance

One day, not so long ago, in recent history

We bonded as great friends for all eternity

Even when Angela travels to lands far away

Reaching her is easy so I wish her a Happy Birthday!
