Either FrIDAy Or Saturday

Every year for over 20 years now

I hold this day special some how

This day has meant good things to me

Had warmth in its path with good memory

Every year around this time I recall

Romance blossoming and lovers walking tall

Future was sure and needed little care

Regrets were few and time offered no fear

I look back on the time, thankful that I had

Delightful days that seemed never bad

And times spent together on the evening and  at night

Yesteryears were free and full of delight

On this day in those days in my past

Rushing before the clock was common and fast

Some criticized the hours we spent

And now looking today I still feel an enrichment

The time together brought a whole family

Unusual for most but remarkable for me

Romance may have withered but love bloomed bright

Dear friend you still shine a special light

And I wish like every time in a special way
