You Forgot!..And..So What?

Some men think it is okay to overlook all the fuss of Mothers’ Day. They prefer to believe like they had forgotten. Well given what I see my girlfriends go through and what I know of the problems my mother had raising 4 kids from age 16, it is monstrous to not give mothers an acknowledgement for their work. I don’t believe that you necessarily have to do so on Mothers’ Day if you make it a habit of praising her otherwise but for those men who have not made it a habit, you should see Mothers’ Day as a help . It makes it easy on you to thank them at this time. And for those of you who believe their mothers were particularly harsh, for large time in their lives they walked around with you in their distorted body, sometimes with ridicule and pain. If only for that alone and you could bet there was a whole lot more, show your appreciation this Sunday.

You Forgot!.. And So What?

You have been bombarded by the TV

Or the numerous printed ads caused you anxiety

Useless then to say to the ladies you forgot

Forgot Mothers’ Day? Are you mad or what!

Once the ads started some weeks ago

Radio reminders came on every talk show

Going home without a plan tonight

Only will land you in another verbal fight

Those other you had over the things you do

Are nothing compared to Anniversaries and Mothers’ Day too

No woman who toiled each day to raised your children

Deserve to be forgotten as do so many men

So forget the squabbles about coming home late

Or the clothes on the floor and the times you didn’t wait

Women will fuss to make all things right

Have an unbiased look around the house tonight

And see your house and kids kept in her special way

Then you’ll know what, she deserve a Happy Mothers’ Day!
