The 3R's - Relaxation

I got up one night from a bad dream, not really nightmarish, just unpleasant. At that time in the night I thought I still had some more time coming to me so I looked at the clock. It was midnight. But although this might seem to many of you like early, much too early to be waking, especially from a dream, think further, I went bed at 11:38 pm. I am still baffled that it is possible to fall sleep and dream within 22 minutes.

 

The 3 R’s – Relaxation

Rest came last night like all nights before

Every night for 2 years I rested to the core

Lights out and I’m fast off to sleep

And I don’t turn, not even make a peep

Xceptions may have occurred but only a few

And over these years the only thing I would do

Thank God for rousing me then lay back again

I’m off to sleep in no time and more comfortably dreaming

One night I awoke and when I checked the clock

No more than 20 mins I had slept and dreamt, what a shock
