Resurrection - Pt.2

He was a younger man than his brother Simon Peter and could therefore out run him. And so he did on the way back to where Jesus had been laid to rest. The disciples had been scared to be seen in public because of the fear of being taken like their Master.  When they both saw the absence of Jesus’ body, they hurried back home to tell the others. Only one had been absent, Thomas, but he was soon to return to render the origins of doubtful Thomas

Resurrection

Run Simon run, we have got to see

Evening is fast going and the night would soon be

She told us the rock was moved and our Master wasn’t there

Urgent, this is urgent, its truth we must share

Reaching the tomb it was as she said

Removed was Jesus and his garments laid instead

Eagerly we returned home to our brethren

Close the doors tightly, staying there was frightening

Then amidst us came someone but not through a door

I saw His hands like the others and the holes they bore

Our Savior was there but soon he must be gone

Now God will send a Comforter and Jesus will be that one
