The Bus Ride

A trip to the Islands long ago cast me into one of the most frightening experiences I can remember. We had to get from the city back to where we were staying and took the bus. No one could have prepared me for that cliff hanger of a ride. But according to the locals, unless the driver moved as fast as he did, there was a great chance that we would run into a descending vehicle and that would mean certain death. The guy who was driving bus was doing so successfully for more than 20 years..

The Bus Ride

The driver was driving dangerously

Had us passengers screaming for mercy

Edging really close to the rocky drop

Bus ride didn’t seem to have a bus stop

Unafraid this old lady came over to us

So darling you never ride on this bus?

Ride on this? If I did, I would have never again

I think this drivers shows no restrain

Don’t judge this driver in a desperate flash

Every other driver taking this hill have died in a crash
