The has been so
many promises to enhance peoples life despite the slow path in finding cures
for diseases that have been around for many years now and researched for just
as long. Strange as it may seem, people seem closer to finding the means to
extending ones life expectancy than cures for illnesses. This is why there has
also been parallel scientific research into cryonics. It all seems like science
fiction but I can remember thinking those portable cordless devices like
computers and telephones as well as voice recognition all from the Star Trek
and 007 science flicks would never come to be in my life time. And here I am enjoying
these technologies today.
