Let Me Reap Again

How often we complete a job and believe that it is well done. We give ourselves credit and start patting ourselves on the back. This may be good for some but it is never god for God. None of what we do can be accomplished without His help and sometime we really need to find out from Him if this is what He wants from us

Let Me Reap Again

Lord I’ve harvested this crop faithfully

Enriched it with my loving care daily

Toiled each day from morn till night

Made timely checks in the silver moonlight

Early on mornings I fell to my knees

Returned each morning equally pleased

Eagerly I waited for His reactions to this bounty

And the Lord replied deliberately

Put aside your vain treasures my deluded son

And learn your harvest hasn’t yet begun

Go take one day of rest and pray to me

And live as I commanded righteously

In everyday teach my children to live this way

Now you’ll sow the seeds to be harvested one day
