Cornrows

Folk are arguing whether the cornrows worn by Senator Damien Griffith to the official opening of the Barbados Parliament are considered inappropriate dress. But what is the dress code? Are we to believe that those women who didn’t wear hat to this ceremony were also infringing these halls? With all the disrespect that goes on behind these walls are we to believe that this hairdo is so important that it warrants the countless hours devoted to it on the radio giving little or no air time to Threats to shut down this island, Neighboring island having a massacre and all the other woes.

Cornrows

Cornrows predominating the call in shows

Our people more concern with hairdos than societal woes

Radio moderators can’t control the sway

New senator asked to shave bald and wear a toupee

Ridiculous expectations from the public

Our Prime Minister chose this youngster for the senate

When we object to the cornrows we object to the PM’s judgment

Seems pointless since it has been approved by our Government
