She Remembers

I was out today and met an old friend. My dad thought she was even more beautiful in person. I hear my family in awe at her beauty ever time they see her on the television. All the time I spoke of her high intelligence and natural concern for others, it never caught their ears. They heard her speak once and since then she..well, everything. I never thought for a moment that she would remember me, after almost 20 years. But she’s precious, she remembers

She Remembers

She still walks the very same

Hurrying to out the next flame

Eager to complete the jobs ahead

Rushing but her delightfulness she’ll spread

Everyone receives her warming smile

Makes quick contact and converses a while

Excitement came but I couldn’t jump to my feet

My MS stopped me hugging the MS to greet

But it was enough to know she remembers me

Even though the years seem an eternity

Regrets I didn’t introduce my dad right then

She’s our adoration, I wish she was also our friend
