Our Dying Love

Although the title of this poem was inspired by a movie I saw, none of the poem has any bearing on that film. I feel a strong connection with the message here, especially when I think of how often the direction in a persons life can be influenced by a single moment. One decision today will influence everything tomorrow.

Our Dying Love

One day in love can be an eternity

Use your days with love wisely

Romance is planted when love is sown

Don’t let your seed fall where misery is grown

You deserve the joy that true love brings

It’s possible to get the love of queens and kings

Nothing should prevent your inner passion

Getting your heart’s desire, your mind’s vision

Love is bliss and true love’s God sent

One day of true love can a life of misery prevent

Vow always to be true from the very start

Enliven our dying love with the pureness of your heart
