I Wish You Were Here

Some days I do feel like I miss what I had years before, perhaps because it is February and the rest of the world is thinking of love and their heart throbs. I used to enjoy a grand ball at the Marin House around this time. This formal affair featured ballroom dancing and was my only opportunity years ago to showoff my stuff. This alone is a big miss.

I Wish You Were Here

I’m frozen in time, waiting for when

We’ll be sharing the nights together again

I sit alone and in the dark

Staring through time to when we walked the park

How I sung to you of the Harbour Lights

Your smiles were endless on those star filled nights

On those nights I saw the sparkle in your eyes

Unleashed restraints and melt in those smiles

When we stopped and you told me I love you

Every nerve tingled cause I loved you too

Romance was sweet and a lasting memory

Every moment with you and your enticing beauty

How hard to sit alone and only reminisce

Embraces that ended with your warm tantalizing kiss

Remembering is good but nothing can compare

Every night, sitting alone I wish you were here
