I Reminisce

Three friends came over today. It was a long time since I had seen them, a long time since I had seen anyone. I know we can’t possibly have regular visits like this one and it’s because I know that I recognize the importance.

 

I Reminisce

It was a long time since I had company

Relaxed in my living room and no TV

Especially overwhelmed that it was you

Making me laugh and reliving old times too

I haven’t been laughing much recently

No one ever comes over to visit with me

I enjoyed the change and appreciated you here

Sharing your time and showing you care

Coming over must have been a personal sacrifice

Each moment was special because you’re that nice
