I was so pleased to need him, finally

All this while she had kept him from me

My friend moved away and married this man

Gordon Gauss said much when he shook my hand

Laura was always like my sister, my queen

Adorable and precious and very serene

Don’t know how long its been since she moved away

We weren’t close enough when she left that day

Every since then I’ve been hearing good things

Missionary work with her husband and great happenings

Eyes met today, we shook hands then his soul said

The Lord Jesus abides here, then Gordon nod his head
