The New Normal

When I say normal I usually mean that I am as good as my best days. These days are not any where as good as 2 years ago. Once I became ill I knew that I wasn’t going to be any super person, certainly not in body. But I never expected that with the time that I am given that I would be inspired to do the many things I now do. Praise God, He works His glory in so many ways.

The New Normal

The things I took for granted and found easy to do

Have become challenges and impossible too

Exercising regularly brings subtle change

Normal fitness for me now falls in a lower range

Every time I’m asked how do you do

When I’m met by folks who never knew

Nothing I can tell them will ever convey

Onerous challenges I have each day

Remission in health are common for me

My illness is quiet and can move around sneakily

At times I feel better and some days even more

Later that day I might feel worse than days before
