The Barbados Music Awards

They planned the 2008 Awards with early timing

Had expectations that it would be hosted by Owen

Etched his name all over the memorabilia

But he called elections, lost and is no longer Prime Minister

All the invitations gone out, has his name

RSVPs to ordinary people and people of fame

But it boggles me what you are expected to do

After you’ve read that Owen is inviting you

David didn’t send the invitation to me

Or anyone else from the Governing party

So what would happen if I still went

Many like me received similar invitations they sent

Unable to change it now so I’ll write and say

Send me a limo to pick me up that day

I heard with Rihanna gone I’m the next best celebrity

Come pick me up in the pm around 6:30

And we’ll stop to collect Peter Boyce

When I’m not there he’s your second choice

And I hear his blog may be getting a trophy
