In The Court Of Public Opinion

I was following the debates in the USA and looking forward to Barrack Obama becoming the first black president there. I wish it would happen but I believe if it does that America would see some really hard times to follow. Hillary made reference to Castles in the sky and started me on this poem that ended up more a summary of what was going on here recently. How did this happen? Is there a similarity in the countries?

In The Court Of Public Opinion

Bold promises which they never meant to keep

Useless programs and overruns very steep

Intricate solutions going no where

Legislations needing immediate repair

Dirt slung in their filthy mud bath

Inaccuracies in projections to make the dead laugh

Neglect of the Q.E.H and the public health care

Got no protection for the consumer but buyer beware

The sluggish resolve for the Barbados Fisheries

Hopelessly  persisting with flawed economic policies

Edutech proving deficient and an obvious disaster

Compulsion on self-fulfillment to be Supreme Leader

An unnecessary $500 million more in debt

Small Minibus man haven’t seen the Transport Authority yet

The sufferers of Chronic disease have little support

Labour Rights Bill introduced but soon they did abort’

Eyes closed uncaringly and callous disregard of PS needs

So much Evidence of corruption this country bleeds

I recall the earlier talks of wild boys

Now check out the tactics this Government employs

Threatening to take off the gloves to fight

Hoping to debate so he can get in a bite

Everyone knows how wild their bites can be

So I’m sort of glad he didn’t debate Thompy

Knuckles brandished, grunts, snarls and inebriated sways

You got to wonder who are the Wild Boys nowadays
