Because You Mean So Much To Me

They say that when you are at your weakest or lowest you can always turn to your family. Blood they say is thicker than water. I’ve heard them all but haven’t seen the show of love in many. My family has been the exception. They have been caring, loving, patient, understanding and most demanding of all, they put up with me. God has blessed me with a good family, I pray that He continues to intervene in our lives and bestow us all with His blessings

Because

You Mean

So Much To Me

By God’s grace He has allowed me to see

Each day the love of my family

Could ask Him for anything but I’ll ask for this

An opportunity to let them know what I miss

Using my hands to do things for them

Sharing chores on Holidays through the pm

Exchanging gifts on Christmas day

Yesterdays where time never flew away

Opening the gate to let the cars in

Unloading groceries when we’re back from shopping

Missing the simplest of things can pain

Even more sometimes than I could ever explain

A sense of absence, like I’m elsewhere

Near but not near enough to share

Sometimes I feel like I’m in a movie

Only I can see them but they can’t see me

My mind fools my body and says I can do

Unlikely things it bids my body to pursue

Can’t run for shelter through the rain

Have provocative discussions that brings me strain

These things I miss but I have little care

Once my family are around me or anywhere near

My life is very blessed and I live happily

Everyday is Christmas when I have my family

Blessed Christmas

To My Family
