David And Family

To an old friend on his birthday. He is a Christmas baby and I hope he understands that he has to take secondary importance on this day. To David Thompson

David And Family

Decked Halls and Silver Bells

Aroma of fresh Christmas Tree smells

Virgin birth commemorated with a nativity

Incense burning throughout the festivity

Ding dong ringing on the front house door

And friends arriving and afterwards there’re more

No one refusing a piece of fruit cake

Didn’t know you’d run out or how much to bake

Fruit dipped in chocolate and served on a stick

And songs by Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole’s Saint Nic

May these customs and the others you know

Improve your celebrations with a Yule Tide glow

Let me pray for you Christ’s gift of peace, love and good cheer

You a Blessed Birthday, Christmas and Prosperous New Year
