The Power Play

Many people rise to their heights and to do so they mash on the heads of truth. The build the empires on false premises and may appear successful to the unquestioning eye. The leaders often fall on their own swords. The following was inspired from an episode of 24, one of my favourite TV programs. A careful mix of corruption, politics and truth

The Power Play

There can be no power when living in a lie

Having power is based on integrity and how you apply

Every ounce of your honesty to complete your task

Putting truth ahead and its accuracy never mask

Organizing a team for the truths you believe in

Working through battles with a focus to win

Enemies may fight dirty and below the belt

Retaliate with impunity, defend the purpose you felt

Proud of when you first plotted your plan

Let integrity be the might of you hand

And rule with the love of believing your plight

You can’t have true power if at first you’re not right
