Walking Out

It’s not hard to decide when to turn away. Your heart speaks clearly and will guide you. Sometimes observers never grasp the intensity of this action but often it is louder than a shout, a better protest than placards. I applaud anyone who can take the difficult stance of standing up for their rights and even more for the rights of others.

Walking Out

When there was no choice I remained

And subjected myself to ruling constrain

Labored in my heart and boiled inwardly

Kept my cap on though exploding violently

I rose one day and left with disgust

No rules restrained me and I thought I must

Good Governance was being abused and I willingly

Opposed this infraction and the flouting travesty

Unrelenting in my plight to expose any corruption

This fight will now be fought in the people’s discussion
