Gunsmoke

I saw a rerun of an old movie series this morning. I was curious whether I would still feel the same as when I was much younger. I didn’t. Years ago, I didn’t cry, didn’t understand others who did. Today, I squeezed my eyes dry then I smiled. I still enjoy these movies after all these years. Today I saw a good friendship

Gunsmoke

Got tears in my eyes

Unleashed from my silent cries

Nowadays it happens easily

So often when I’m watching TV

Mac Dylan today found a friend

Over in Mexico and at the end

Kept vows to be in touch over the years

Every good friendship brings me new tears
