His Good Promise

My friend in worship and pray partner wanted to share a verse with me but didn’t find it. When she was able to remember the verse, I told her stop, I just started writing a poem based on that very same verse this afternoon, just before her call. There are no coincidences, just divine guidance. The following poem was inspired from that verse, 1 Kings 8:56

Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

His Good Promise

He hath given rest unto His people

Israel’s offspring, the lowest low to the highest steeple

Served to us by the hand of Moses

God has never renege on His promises

Our lives are made easier since He

Offered to save us from iniquity

Defend us from our enemies’ sword

Protect us because He is our Lord

Rest He gave us that we may grow

Overtime in spirit with His Holy glow

Moses was His servant and he delivered by his hand

Inscriptions in stone as the Lord’s words command

So fulfill God’s word and you would see

Every promise He keeps unfailingly
